रायपुर(दि.30ऑक्टोबर):- अखिल भारतीय किसान सभा से संबद्ध छत्तीसगढ़ किसान सभा ने केंद्र सरकार से भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद द्वारा बायर जैसे भीमकाय कृषि बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों के साथ किए गए एमओयू को रद्द करने की मांग की है। किसान सभा का कहना है कि इस तरह के एमओयू वास्तव में कृषि का कार्पोरेटीकरण करने के उद्देश्य से लाए गए उन किसान विरोधी कानूनों को पिछले दरवाजे से लागू करने का प्रयास है, जिसे देश की जनता के प्रखर विरोध के कारण मोदी सरकार को वापस लेने को मजबूर होना पड़ा था।
आज यहां जारी एक बयान में छत्तीसगढ़ किसान सभा के संयोजक संजय पराते ने कहा है कि छोटे किसानों को सशक्त बनाने के नाम पर कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद बायर जैसी उन कॉर्पोरेट कंपनियों से समझौता कर रहा है, जो वास्तव में व्यापार के नाम पर यहां के किसानों को लूटने और अधिक से अधिक मुनाफा कमाने के लिए भारतीय कृषि बाजार में घुसने का रास्ता खोज रहे हैं। इन कॉर्पोरेट दिग्गजों का असली मकसद भारतीय कृषि को विकसित देशों की जरूरतों के अनुकूल मोड़ना तथा गरीब किसानों की जमीन को हड़पना भर है और वैज्ञानिक कृषि के विकास और किसानों की आय बढ़ाने में उनकी कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं है, जिसका दावा एमओयू में किया गया है। ऐसे समझौते केंद्र सरकार के “आत्मनिर्भर भारत और आत्मनिर्भर कृषि” के दावे की पोल भी खोल रहे हैं।
किसान सभा नेता ने सार्वजनिक कृषि अनुसंधान के लिए
आबंटन में भारी कटौती की भी निंदा की है, जिसके कारण खेती-किसानी में आत्मनिर्भरता खत्म हो रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस गंभीर कमजोरी को दूर करने के बजाय, मोदी सरकार ने बायर जैसी कॉर्पोरेट कंपनियों के साथ सहयोग करने का विकल्प चुना है, जो कैंसर और अन्य बीमारियों का कारण बनने वाले जहरीले रसायनों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कुख्यात है और इस जुर्म के लिए कई मुकदमों का सामना कर रहा है। यह जगजाहिर है कि विषैले, रोग पैदा करने वाले कृषि रसायनों की बिक्री बायर के व्यवसाय के मूल में रही है और मोनसेंटो के अधिग्रहण के साथ, यह वैश्विक बीज बाजार पर भी हावी हो गया है। अनुसंधान परिषद के साथ सहयोग से उसके अपराधों को वैधता मिलेगी और मुनाफा कमाने के लिए एक बड़ा बाजार उसे उपलब्ध होगा।
किसान सभा ने मांग की है कि भारतीय कृषि आज जिन गंभीर चुनौतियों का सामना कर रही है, उनसे निपटने के लिए कृषि अनुसंधान के लिए सार्वजनिक वित्त पोषण बढ़ाया जाए। कृषि के कॉरपोरेटीकरण के सभी प्रयासों का पुरजोर विरोध किया जाएगा। केंद्र सरकार को इस संबंध में उठी सभी चिंताओं का समाधान करना चाहिए।
*Kisan Sabha opposed the corporatization of agriculture, said – Central government should cancel the MOU made by the Agricultural Research Council with corporate companies*
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha, affiliated to All India Kisan Sabha, has demanded that the Central Government should cancel the MOU signed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research with giant agricultural multinational companies like Bayer. Kisan Sabha says that such MOUs are actually an attempt to implement from the back door those anti-farmer laws brought with the aim of corporatizing agriculture, which the Modi government had to to be forced to withdraw due to strong opposition from the people of the country.
In a statement issued here today, Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha convenor Sanjay Parate has said that in the name of empowering small farmers, the Agricultural Research Council is making MOUs with corporate companies like Bayer, in the name of helping the small farmers, but actually they are looking for a way to enter the Indian agricultural market to plunder and earn maximum profits. The real objective of these corporate giants is to adapt Indian agriculture to the needs of developed countries and to grab the land of poor farmers and they have no interest in the development of scientific agriculture and increasing the income of farmers, as claimed in the MOU. Such agreements are also exposing the central government’s claim of “self-reliant India and self-reliant agriculture”.
Kisan Sabha leader also condemned the huge cut in allocation in public agricultural research, due to which self-reliance in agriculture is being lost. He said that instead of addressing this serious weakness, the Modi government has chosen to collaborate with corporate companies like Bayer, which is notorious for promoting toxic chemicals that cause cancer and other diseases and for this crime, it is facing many lawsuits. It is well known that the sale of toxic, disease-causing agrochemicals has been at the core of Bayer’s business and, with the acquisition of Monsanto, it has come to dominate the global seed market as well. Collaboration with the Research Council would legitimize his crimes and provide him with a larger market for profit.
Kisan Sabha has demanded that public funding for agricultural research be increased to address the serious challenges that Indian agriculture faces today. All efforts to corporatize agriculture will be strongly opposed. The Central Government should address all the concerns raised in this regard.
