Mumbai, October 17, 2023: Allied Blenders & Distillers has confirmed that its latest launch of the iconic whiskey will reach 1 million in September 2023, despite it being available only in the states of North and East India since its launch in September 2022. The milestone of (10 lakh) boxes has been crossed. Larger states in this segment, such as Maharashtra and Telangana, with larger benefit pools, have joined the bandwagon with market launches in the last few weeks.
The iconic whiskey was launched state by state in a planned, sequenced manner across most of East and North India from September 2022. Its blend of imported Scotch malts aged for years in Bourbon oak casks with mature malts and Indian grain spirits has gained strong customer share in the markets in which it is introduced. These 1 million boxes are sent at ABD setting speed to high value portfolios in prestige and above segments.
Speaking on achieving 1 million cases of Iconic Whiskey, Bikram Basu, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, ABD, said, “At the time of the launch of Iconic, we have gone on record to say that ‘we have something very special here, And are here to win.
